After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Italy, Itasca was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Meridian Yellowjackets 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Wampus Cats in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now won four in a row.

Alissa Farquhar paced Itasca's offense, picking up seven kills. Farquhar got some help from Rylee Markwardt and her 18 assists. Farquhar was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Itasca now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Meridian, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.

Itasca didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Frost on the 14th. As for Meridian, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Rio Vista on the 14th.
