Softball Game Preview: Cypress Christian Warriors vs. Frassati Catholic Falcons

For the second straight game, Cypress Christian will face off against Frassati Catholic. The Warriors will welcome the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Cypress Christian got the win against Frassati Catholic by a conclusive 15-5. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won five in a row.

Audrey Petrowski made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, Cypress Christian got a massive performance out of Megan Smith, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Smith a new career-high. Another player making a difference was KK Smith, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Cypress Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Frassati Catholic, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
