Basketball Game Preview: Napoleon Wildcats vs. Northview Wildcats

Napoleon is 1-9 against Northview since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Napoleon Wildcats will host the Northview Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. Napoleon will be strutting in after a victory while Northview will be coming in after a loss.

It was a proper cat-fight when Napoleon challenged Liberty Center on Saturday. Napoleon slipped by Liberty Center 52-51. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Northview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 61-51 to Rogers. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 382nd, while the Rams are ranked 92nd).

Napoleon is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Northview, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Napoleon beat Northview 61-54 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Napoleon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northview turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
