Croatan had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 66-25 win over the Richlands Wildcats. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Croatan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Neely McMannen out in front who went 10 of 15 to rack up 23 points. That's the most points McMannen has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Leah Johnson, who went 7 for 10 on her way to 14 points and four steals.

Croatan was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Croatan pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.5 points over those games. As for Richlands, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Croatan will head out to take on West Carteret at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Croatan is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.3 points per game this season. As for Richlands, they will take on Dixon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
