Basketball Recap: May's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Central Texas Academy, May was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They took down the Cross Plains Buffaloes 55-39. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 498th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 1177th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

May's victory bumped their record up to 25-2. As for Cross Plains, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-7.

May will welcome Sidney at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cross Plains, they will venture away from home to face off against Santa Anna at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
