Soccer Recap: Abingdon/Avon Comes Up Short

Abingdon/Avon was the 3-0 winner over Byron when they last played one another back in August of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Tornadoes fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Abingdon/Avon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Byron, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Abingdon/Avon will challenge Kewanee at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Byron, they will head out to square off against Pecatonica at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
