Football Recap: Warren Comes Up Short at Home Against Greenbrier

Warren unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Greenbrier Panthers on Friday, falling 57-32. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lumberjacks of the 41-34 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Enoch Assan went supernova For Greenbrier., rushing for 313 yards and six scores while picking up 9.5 yards per carry, and also picking up 61 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 313 rushing yards gave Assan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jack Palmer, who threw for 276 yards and a pair of TDs on only 15 passes.

Warren didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 28-14 win against White Hall on the 5th. As for Greenbrier, they have also already played their next game, a 41-5 victory against Russellville on the 5th.
