Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Buckeye). They put the hurt on the Youngker Roughriders with a sharp 82-62 win on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Hawks have posted since February 2, 2024.

Dayvon Standard went supernova for Buckeye, dropping a double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Standard a new career-high in points. Ridgon Hunter also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Buckeye smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Despite the loss, Youngker still got an impressive performance from Hayden Williams, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jeremie (JJ) Songolo, who put up 14 points.

Buckeye's win bumped their record up to 3-18. As for Youngker, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-14.

Buckeye has already played their next game, a 95-72 defeat against Desert Edge on the 7th. As for Youngker, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-61 victory against North Canyon on the 7th.
