Volleyball Recap: Northeast Extends Winning Streak to Four

Northeast hadn't done well against Pinellas Park recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Vikings put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won four games in a row.

While Northeast won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-10, 25-23.

Macey Stroemich had a dynamite game, getting 20 digs and two aces.

Northeast's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Pinellas Park, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Northeast will challenge Boca Ciega at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. After both having extra time off, Pinellas Park and Shorecrest Prep will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
