With a playoff win on the line, Bishop Snyder rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Providence School Stallions, sneaking past 6-5. The victory was familiar territory for the Cardinals, who have now won 12 matches in a row.

Lewis Turner looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Cole Dennis and Tanner Upton did most of the damage at the plate: Dennis went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Upton scored a run while going 1-for-2. Upton also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Josh Murray, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Bishop Snyder's win bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Providence School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-10.

Coming up, Bishop Snyder will challenge Trinity Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Conquerors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Providence School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
