Recap: Sacred Heart Prep Gators vs. Sequoia Ravens
The Sacred Heart Prep Gators won the last time they faced the Sequoia Ravens, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Sacred Heart Prep blew past Sequoia 65-24 on the road. With Sacred Heart Prep ahead 44-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Sacred Heart Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Drew Wagner, who scored 20 points along with 3 steals. Wagner continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was TJ O'Brien, who scored 17 points along with 4 steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Sacred Heart Prep and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Sequoia, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Sacred Heart Prep will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against St. Ignatius College Preparatory at 7:00 p.m. As for Sequoia, they will head out on the road to face off against Alisal at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Alisal focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Saturday.
