Zavalla is 9-1 against Leggett since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Zavalla Eagles will host the Leggett Pirates at 6:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Zavalla was beaten by Broaddus 78-21. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Leggett won against Spurger last Friday with 41 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Leggett came out on top against Goodrich by a score of 41-34. Winning may never get old, but the Pirates sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Leggett found their leader in sophomore Bianca Perkins, who went 7 for 15 on her way to 19 points and five steals. What's more, Perkins also posted a 47% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's posted since back in November of 2023. Tamera Henderson was another key player, putting up 13 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Leggett smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Leggett pushed their record up to 18-16 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.2 points over those games. As for Zavalla, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-12.

Everything came up roses for Zavalla against Leggett in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 63-33 victory. Does Zavalla have another victory up their sleeve, or will Leggett turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
