Softball Preview: Vina Red Devils vs. Cherokee Indians

For the second straight game, Vina will face off against Cherokee. The Red Devils will face off against the Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Vina is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Cherokee on Tuesday. They fell 6-2 to the Indians.

For Cherokee's part, Libby Collum spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks.

The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Vina, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15.
