Arleta has gone 8-2 against San Fernando recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Mustangs will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Arleta is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Arleta had to suffer through a 69-32 loss at the hands of Crenshaw.

Meanwhile, San Fernando didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Castaic last Thursday, but they still walked away with a 67-61 win.

Arleta better keep an eye on Omar Chavez. He was instrumental in San Fernando's win, putting up 34 points along with five boards and five steals. That's the most points Chavez has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Reyes, who earned nine points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

The victory got San Fernando back to even at 2-2. As for Arleta, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Arleta was able to grind out a solid win over San Fernando in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 65-55. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Chavez, who put up 32 points. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Mustangs still be able to contain Chavez?
