Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Vivian Verber and Rachel Shipley Lead Cumberland Valley to Victory + How To Watch

Cumberland Valley won the last time they faced Altoona and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles blew past the Mountain Lions 3-0.

One reason for the win was Cumberland Valley's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-19, 25-18.

Leading Cumberland Valley to victory were Rachel Shipley and Vivian Verber. Shipley had 17 digs and three aces, while Verber had 36 assists. Those 36 assists gave Verber a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Altoona still got an impressive performance from Marina Petucci, who had 22 digs and one assist. Petucci has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Cumberland Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Altoona, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-10-1.
