Baseball Recap: Slocum Mustangs vs. Oakwood Panthers
Slocum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 9-6 to the Oakwood Panthers. Surprisingly, this marked the third straight game that the away team has come away the victor.
Cameron Janke and Braydon Minton stepped up to the plate in a big way. Janke scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Minton scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Creede Kessel also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Slocum's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Oakwood, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-5-2.
