            Basketball Recap: North Surry Greyhounds vs. Reagan Raiders        
        
		
        
        
            North Surry entered their  game against Reagan  on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The North Surry Greyhounds'2024 ended with  a  67-51 defeat against the Reagan Raiders. If the Greyhounds were looking for revenge after losing  81-52 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

 Several Greyhounds players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   David Schuyler, who  posted 11 points. What's more,  Schuyler also racked up four  rebounds, the most he's  had since back in February of 2024.  Kam McKnight was another key player,  going 6 for 10  on his way to 13  points.
 Reagan got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Jayden McCrae out in front who  went 9 of 11  on his way to 18 points and six  rebounds. McCrae's evening made it four games in a row in which  he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Yazir Wilson, who  put up seven  points in addition to seven  steals and six  assists.
North Surry's loss  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 6-4. As for Reagan, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
 North Surry wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  match,  an  84-68  win against East Surry on the 3rd. As for Reagan, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  58-56  defeat against West Forsyth on the 3rd.
