Baseball Game Preview: Vista Ridge Wolves vs. Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans

For the second straight game, Vista Ridge will face off against Fountain-Fort Carson. The Wolves will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m.

Vista Ridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Fountain-Fort Carson with a sharp 12-1 win on Tuesday. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Teagan Reisdorfer made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Vista Ridge let Jacob Bourland and Ricky Flugel run wild. Bourland scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Flugel went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave Flugel a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Izeah Brinck-Torres, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Vista Ridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Vista Ridge's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-9. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.
