With a playoff win on the line, Meridian rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They managed a 51-45 victory over the New Kent Trojans. The Mustangs' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Despite the loss, New Kent still got an impressive performance from Will Ross, who posted 19 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Ross a new career-high in boards. Christian Joyner was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds.

Meridian pushed their record up to 27-0 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home. As for New Kent, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-3.

Coming up, Meridian will take on Hopewell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopewell is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 70.6 points per game this season. New Kent does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
