Western Michigan Christian entered their tilt with Covenant Christian on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 7-2. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly five runs.

Max Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

Miller wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Clausing, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Quint Menefee was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Western Michigan Christian's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Covenant Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-15.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Western Michigan Christian beat the Chargers by a score of 10-0 later that day.
