Basketball Recap: Franklinton Drops Season-High Score on J.F. Webb + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Franklinton). They took down the J.F. Webb Warriors 70-53 on Monday. For the Red Rams, this counts as revenge for the 53-49 win the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2015.

Leading Franklinton to victory were Amaure Williams and Amahrian Ponton. Williams posted 13 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals, while Ponton shot 78% from the field on his way to 13 points and six assists. Those 13 points gave Ponton a new career-high. Nicholas Hayes was another key player, putting up ten points.

When it comes to explaining why J.F. Webb lost, don't look at Daniel Wright. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 23 points and 13 boards. With that strong performance, Wright is now averaging an impressive 16.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Jemari Thorpe, who had ten points.

The victory made it two in a row for Franklinton and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points over those games. As for J.F. Webb, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
