Baseball Game Preview: Dan River Wildcats vs. William Campbell Generals

The Dan River Wildcats will head out to challenge the William Campbell Generals at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Dan River will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Dan River gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Martinsville as they made off with a 14-5 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won nine in a row.

Meanwhile, William Campbell lost 10-1 to Gretna on Monday. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

William Campbell's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Dan River, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Dan River took their win against William Campbell when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 9-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
