Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wakefield). They enjoyed a cozy 71-53 victory over the Alexandria City Titans on Thursday. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 48-43 loss the last time these two teams met.

When it comes to explaining why Alexandria City lost, don't look at Tarik Sesay. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 9 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Octavius Miller Jr, who posted seven points and three steals.

Wakefield's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Alexandria City, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wakefield won't have much time to rest: their next match is against McLean at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in McLean's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Alexandria City, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against West Potomac at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. West Potomac knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Alexandria City likes a good challenge.
