Basketball Recap: Luke Garrett's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cowan over Madison-Grant

Cowan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 59-46 to the Madison-Grant Argylls.

Cowan lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Luke Garrett, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points. Lucas Terrell was another key player, putting up ten points.

Cowan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Madison-Grant, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cowan will venture away from home to face off against Daleville at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th. As for Madison-Grant, they will head out to take on Shenandoah at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison-Grant has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
