Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Brandon Cade and Nicholas Farr Lead Cousino to Victory

Cousino had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 61-44 win over the Anchor Bay Tars. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tars, too.

Leading Cousino to victory were Nicholas Farr and Brandon Cade. Farr went 10 of 15 on his way to 26 points, while Cade went 8 for 12 en route to 18 points. Those 26 points gave Farr a new career-high. Kaden Underwood was another key player, putting up eight points.

Cousino's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Anchor Bay, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cousino will head out to face off against Grosse Pointe North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cousino knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Grosse Pointe North likes a good challenge. As for Anchor Bay, they will face off against Fraser at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Anchor Bay is facing Fraser at the right time seeing as Fraser is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
