Softball Recap: Shiprock Comes Up Short

Shiprock lost against Miyamura back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chieftains lost 12-1 to the Patriots. The Chieftains' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Shiprock's record is now 6-12. As for Miyamura, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-8 record.

Coming up, Shiprock will head out to face off against Aztec at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chieftains will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last seven matches. As for Miyamura, they will welcome Kirtland Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Broncos have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
