The Le Grand Bulldogs and the Denair Coyotes will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Denair will be up against a hot Le Grand team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Everything went Le Grand's way against Stone Ridge Christian on Thursday as Le Grand made off with an 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won three games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Diego Martinez and Fabian Meza were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Martinez struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Meza pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Martinez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Martinez scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Meza scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Jose Manzo was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Erick Benavidez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
Le Grand was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Denair owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They blew past Modesto Christian 8-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Coyotes, who have now won four contests in a row.
Kaden Prine made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 17 over 6.2 innings pitched. Those 17 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Valente Rosales and Noah Lundquist did most of the damage at the plate: Rosales scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Lundquist scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Lincoln Hart, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Le Grand pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Denair, their record now sits at 5-2-1.
Le Grand skirted past Denair 6-5 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Le Grand since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
