Football Game Preview: Crosby Cougars vs. Pasadena Eagles + How To Watch

Crosby is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. After each having a week off, they and the Pasadena Eagles will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. Crosby is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Crosby came into this matchup off a tough 25-point loss on September 5th. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Fort Bend Marshall by a score of 17-14 two weeks ago. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while the Buffalos are ranked 83rd).

Crosby's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lott Robison, who threw for 219 yards and one TD, and Nehemiah Jordan, who picked up 112 receiving yards and one score.

Crosby didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bryson Bass and Joshua Jackson. Another thorn in Fort Bend Marshall's side was Ashton Lemelle, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made five total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Pasadena had to suffer through a 42-14 loss at the hands of Bellaire. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Crosby's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pasadena, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything came up roses for Crosby against Pasadena in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-0 victory. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
