Volleyball Recap: South Florence's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

South Florence can bid farewell to their five-match losing streak thanks to their match on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Latta Vikings as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in August.

South Florence not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Latta between 14 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-16.

Hailey McManus had a dynamite game, getting six digs and four aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Baylor Gregg, who had six digs and three aces.

South Florence's win bumped their record up to 8-12-1. As for Latta, with the loss, they broke their nine-match winning streak and moved their record to 9-3.

Looking ahead, South Florence will host Darlington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Latta, they will head out on the road to challenge Hemingway at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
