Softball Recap: Glenbrook South Takes a Loss

Glenbrook South managed to slip by Maine South the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Titans lost 13-2 to the Hawks on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Titans have suffered against the Hawks since May 5, 2022.

Glenbrook South saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ruby Garrett, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Glenbrook South's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Maine South, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenbrook South will challenge Highland Park at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Giants have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Maine South, they are taking a road trip to square off against New Trier at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trevians will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight.
