Basketball Recap: Holbrook's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Holbrook needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Ashya Dingle. The Holbrook Bulldogs took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 33-6 victory over the Old Colony RVT Cougars thanks in part to Dingle, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Holbrook's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Janiyah Smith, who posted six points and four steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game.

Holbrook's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Old Colony RVT, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Holbrook will square off against Calvary Chapel Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Old Colony RVT, they will face off against Bristol-Plymouth RVT at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
