Basketball Game Preview: Lithia Springs Lions vs. Villa Rica Wildcats

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Lithia Springs Lions duke it out with the Villa Rica Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday... Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Saturday, Lithia Springs was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to Mt. Zion. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Villa Rica came up short against Rome on Saturday and fell 75-65. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while the Wolves are ranked 45th).

Lithia Springs' loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Villa Rica, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Lithia Springs beat Villa Rica 63-50 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Does Lithia Springs have another victory up their sleeve, or will Villa Rica turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
