Franklin Road Christian had won four straight games and Wes Fuqua did his part to make it five on Thursday. The Minutemen enjoyed a cozy 63-49 victory over the Central Christian Saints with plenty of help from Fuqua, who shot 71% from the field to rack up 27 points in addition to six boards and five assists. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 17 points per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Pierre DeShields, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 steals. DeShields is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least four every time he's taken the court this season.

Franklin Road Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Central Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Franklin Road Christian and Faith Baptist Christian Academy will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. As for Central Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Master's Hand Christian at 5:00 p.m. on December 4.
