Luis Hernandez posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Saturday. He struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Hackensack: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-5 otherwise.

Coming up, Hernandez and Hackensack will square off against Bergen Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Comets will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 198 places lower in New Jersey), but they're not letting that get them down. Will they be able to pull off an upset behind Hernandez? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
