Trumbull barely beat Westhill the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles blew past the Vikings 3-0 on Wednesday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

While Trumbull won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 26-24, 25-17.

McKenzyi Bell paced Trumbull's offense, picking up 11 kills. Bell got some help from Callie McGillicuddy and her 15 assists. McGillicuddy also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Bea Carley, each putting up five.

Trumbull's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Westhill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
