Basketball Recap: Chiefland Gets the Win

Chiefland posted their closest win since December 13, 2024 on Tuesday. They skirted past the Bronson Eagles 65-62. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-48 on January 3rd.

When it comes to explaining why Bronson lost, don't look at Justice Phillips. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 31 points and nine boards. Phillips' evening made it 15 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Landon Martensen, who posted six points and three blocks.

Chiefland's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Bronson, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Chiefland will venture away from home to take on Dixie County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bronson, they will face off against Chiefland at 8:00 p.m. on January 28th.
