Baseball Game Preview: Kiski School Cougars vs. Hill School Rams

The Kiski School Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Hill School Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Kiski School will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Kiski School is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over Leechburg on Thursday. Kiski School's win was all the more impressive since the Blue Devils were averaging only 3.33 runs allowed on the season.

The team relied heavily on Tyler Hahn, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Parker Hannah also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Kiski School was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Hill School is ranked highly in their home state and on Wednesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Hun. The Rams came out on top in a nail-biter against the Raiders, sneaking past 5-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Hill School's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Kiski School, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Kiski School couldn't quite finish off Hill School in their previous matchup back in April of 2018 and fell 19-17. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
