Recap: Donna Redskins vs. STX Saints
The Donna Redskins entered their tilt with the STX Saints with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Donna walked away with a 62-53 victory over STX on Saturday.
Several Saints players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaac Martinez, who scored 27 points along with 5 rebounds. Martinez scored a full 50.9% of STX's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Guillermo Moreno, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Donna has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. As for STX, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Donna will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Rio Grande City at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. As for STX, they will square off against San Perlita at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday. San Perlita presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than STX in Texas (San Perlita is ranked 360th, while STX is ranked 957th).
