Softball Game Preview: Martin Tigers vs. Hebbronville Longhorns

The Martin Tigers will be taking part in a tournament against the Hebbronville Longhorns at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Martin is looking for their season's first victory.

Martin lost 21-1 to Mission Veterans Memorial on Tuesday.

Martin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brianna Matias, who went a perfect1-for-1 with one double and one RBI. Zyana Lopez also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Meanwhile, everything went Hebbronville's way against Raymondville on Tuesday as Hebbronville made off with an 11-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Longhorns.

Hebbronville's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Martin, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Martin might still be hurting after the 9-3 loss they got from Hebbronville when the teams last played back in February of 2020. Can Martin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
