After having lost a blowout in their previous game against El Segundo, Wiseburn- Da Vinci was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Venice Gondoliers. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Gondoliers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Wiseburn- Da Vinci got a great performance from Nicolas Parisot - Jimenez as he pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Parisot - Jimenez has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Xavier Horton was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Lonnie Jackson, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

The win got Wiseburn- Da Vinci back to even at 8-8. As for Venice, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-8.

Wiseburn- Da Vinci didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-6 loss against El Segundo on the 4th. As for Venice, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South East at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
