Baseball Recap: The First Academy Wins Going Away Against Noble

While The First Academy put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Noble. The First Academy blew past Noble 14-0. The Royals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

The First Academy got a great performance from Josh Garcia as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Garcia also tossed a walk, marking his first of the season.

On the hitting side, The First Academy let Remo Indomenico and Erick Martinez run wild. Indomenico went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Martinez went 1-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases Martinez has posted since back in February. Cannon Koronka was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

The First Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Noble fell to 6-1.

The First Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-5 victory against Bixby on the 19th. As for Noble, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Olympia on the 19th.
