While Wyoming Area put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Greater Nanticoke Area. The Warriors blew past the Trojans 10-0. Considering the Warriors have won six matchups by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Alexa Gasek was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Addison Gaylord was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Kaia Brown was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Wyoming Area's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-8. As for Greater Nanticoke Area, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-15.
Looking ahead, Wyoming Area will take on Old Forge at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Greater Nanticoke Area, they will challenge Elk Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
