Ridgeline had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Payson Lions on Thursday. The win was nothing new for the Riverhawks as they're now sitting on nine straight.

The team relied heavily on Maddux Jensen, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs.

Ridgeline's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Payson, their loss dropped their record down to 11-18.

Ridgeline will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
