Football Recap: New Brunswick Comes Up Short

New Brunswick lost against Plainfield back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Zebra were beaten by the Cardinals 56-6. While losing is never fun, the Zebra can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Cardinals are ranked 131st).

New Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Plainfield, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, New Brunswick will square off against Scotch Plains-Fanwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Plainfield, they will take on Woodbridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Cardinals' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
