Baseball Recap: Four Straight Home Victories for Vermilion

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Edison, Vermilion was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They skirted past the Margaretta Polar Bears 4-2. The Sailors haven't had any issues with the Polar Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Vermilion's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Margaretta, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Vermilion didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-2 win against Port Clinton on the 6th. As for Margaretta, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Huron on the 7th.
