Soccer Recap: Weir Comes Up Short

Weir managed to keep up with The Linsly School until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Red Riders came up short against the Cadets, falling 5-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Weir now has a losing record of 6-7. As for The Linsly School, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weir will challenge Steubenville at 6:30 p.m. on the 30th. Weir's defense better be ready for this one: Steubenville have averaged an impressive 4.6 goals per game this season. As for The Linsly School, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Wheeling Park at 8:00 p.m. on October 2.
