While the Mustangs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 13-5 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Naperville North humbled Plainfield Central with a 60-26 victory. The matchup marked the Huskies' most dominant victory of the season.

Naperville North pushed their record up to 13-13 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Metea Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-18.

Things could have been worse for Metea Valley, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-44 loss to Naperville North when the teams last played back in December of 2024.
