Basketball Game Preview: South Wake Sabres vs. New Life Camp Storm

The South Wake Sabres will face off against the New Life Camp Storm at 9:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in South Wake's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 games.

Last Tuesday, South Wake took their matchup with ease, bagging a 97-66 win over Goldsboro HomeSchool. The Sabres have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Noah Wright, who went 14-for-17 from beyond the arc to rack up 50 points and five rebounds. His evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Marcus Webb, who posted five points in addition to six assists and five boards.

South Wake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for New Life Camp, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Durham Flight HomeSchool by a score of 64-53 on Tuesday. The Storm haven't had any issues with the Flight recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

South Wake has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points over those games. As for New Life Camp, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.

South Wake strolled past New Life Camp in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 66-51. Will South Wake repeat their success, or does New Life Camp have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
