Basketball Recap: Rochester Academy Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Rochester Academy Racers were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 60-55 to the Gananda Central Blue Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Racers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 694th, while the Blue Panthers are ranked 329th).

It was another big night for Hunter Vogt, who posted 21 points for Gananda Central. Braedon Caviness was another key player, putting up ten points.

Rochester Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Gananda Central, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Rochester Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gananda Central, they will take on Alexander on Monday.
