Volleyball Recap: Colonial Heights Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

After losing to Dinwiddie the last time they met, Colonial Heights decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Colonials came out on top against the Generals by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Colonials, who have now won four contests in a row.

Colonial Heights had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-17, 25-9, 25-17.

Avery Hurley paced Colonial Heights' offense, picking up 32 kills. Hurley got some help from Madison Schane and her 28 assists. Hurley also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Reagan Catron, each putting up three.

Colonial Heights now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Dinwiddie, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Colonial Heights will face off against L.C. Bird at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Dinwiddie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
